Lakeshore dunes, MI

So I decided to take the SX10 out for a little hike along the lakeshore yesterday (Lake Michigan), as the sun was actually shining. Only had the camera for a few weeks now and these are my first "real" outdoors pictures with the camera; also my first attempts using exposure fusion in Photomatix (on both shots).

Nice. Where are these dunes, Holland, Muskegon area? We have the same kind of ice around Manistee, it was different ice before it melted last month.

New Era. Just south of Silver Lake.

nice pics. I spent a lot of summers at Silver lake Sand Dunes 40-50 years ago. Boy! I feel old. Last time I was up there was 1995. Great place for a vacation
