How to move a Lightroom image?

I have used Photoshop for years, and I'm now learning Lightroom, because of it's organizing abilities.
Will someone please explain how to make a copy of a LR image, and paste it into a Windows file, such as Picures?
I know it must be simple, but I cannot see how to do it.

If you want to copy the original file over, you'll need to use a system tool (LR doesn't "do" straight copies in its library). To make an "unoriginal copy" (like for the Web, email, print, etc) you simply use the Export dialog to set the size and quality as well as the destination and naming if need be. This is how we place edited files out for use. You can reimport such photos into LR if need be.
