How to trigger alien beez with 580ex2

Has anyone figured out a wireless way to trigger an ab400 with a 580ex2?

I use the Yongnuo RF602 triggers on my 580EXII and the AB400 triggers optically. Works quite well for me in studio and in-expensive too!

Is this in the studio setting or possibly outdoors?
The way to do it right would be to use a trigger mounted in the camera hot shoe and a receiver for each of the lights (including the 580).

I wouldn't trust the 580 firing the strobes because someone else might be standing in the area and takes their own pic of the bride/groom. Their flash will set off your strobes leaving you waiting for the recycle. Could be problems.

yeah, good point wasn't thinking about those situations, just in studio under a controlled environment. For the price of the RF602's you can get a trigger and 2 receivers for roughly $60us. If you have more $$ cycber syncs are the way to go.

If you're using it indoors, just leave the PC jack on the AB400 unplugged. Set the 580EX II to manual mode and fire way. If you don't want the 580EX II to contribute any lighting to the subject, point the flash head towards the strobe but away from the subject and decrease the flash output if necessary.
