So my brother is borrowing one of my 5Ds and I'm using his 40D to shoot take some shots with my 10-22 anyways long story made short

The image below was taken with my 50mm 1.4 on his 40D
Prior to that I took some shots with my 5D and swapped cards to the 40D
link to that thread is here.https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=824749

The EXIF data on this image say it was taken with the 5D and 16-35 II

but in the picture there are both of my 16s and I dont have another 16 plus I'm shooting my brothers 40D

IMAGE: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4039/4345149201_2f9665e41a_o.jpg

Anyways my reasoning with this, people shouldnt always go by what the EXIF data says :D

Is it the camera doing that or lightroom or something?

And now it's taken with a 30D at 135 mm and f/8!

I think the point is most people aren't purposely trying to mislead others with exif data.

Agreed, sometimes like in my case relating to the pics in the other post. I was doing a comparison between two photos and exif data was wrong. I've seen that on another forum with people making a huge deal about this guy,who they said was lying about the lens he had. He then turned around took the lens off and took a picture of it with a one hand salute. So I guess its dependent on the person.

Maybe its a flaw in design.

It sounds to me like maybe some borked input options in Lightroom. Double check them.

I don't know about you, but occasionally I will forget about a set of tags or other info that I wanted for some images, but not others. Too bad there is no "return to default" after importing.

Checked it just now. Nope everything is normal. I'm going over to my brothers house later today, going to see if I can duplicate the process. It would be interesting if it works with all Cameras.
