Challenge closed.

I see most of you took the photographic meaning of the word, I can't say I'm surprised (considering this is a photography forum) but I was hopping to see a bit more of the linguistic meaning of contrast (opposition).

I must add I don't understand how to fit some of the submited pictures on any definition of the subject, I guess I'll have to write some more specific rules next time :P

So here we go:

3rd place goes to "Raven Black on White" by Flo and "Movies" by corey.b
Flo picture is very simple yet powerfull, and I loved the corey-b almost empy room.

2nd place goes to "Mid Air Meal" by dilorenzo1954
Would love to have that image on a frame on my Wall.

1st place goes to the "old farm" by airfrogusmc
Love the windmill on the left and the funny house on the right.
PS: I would photoshop the central tree out of the picture

EDIT: I almost forgot to congratulate everyone for participating, I hope you enjoyed it.

Great picks you made Warlord - and congrats to the winners!

Sorry I couldn't play this round, I've been busy as all get out!

Nice shots, everyone, and congrats, Allen! Sorry I missed this round. I had a great idea too but didn't have time to shoot it (coulda, woulda, shoulda, right?). Maybe I'll get around to taking it and post it up later for the heck of it.;)

It was a great idea for a theme, warl0rd!

Great choices Warl0rd, congrats Allen!!!

There was some really cool images this week.

Warl0rd, I was trying to contrast as opposites--metal, flower, soft, hard. Just that my interpretaion did not convey that well enough. Learning and the process of learning is priceless. Besides, I got to enter my very first challenge image with my newly aquired 1Ds.

Great job everyone.
