The second shot works for me more than the first. Not quite sure why? I love the clarity of the 1st shot but I prefer the second. Maybe it is a mood thing?

I agree, I think the second shot looks a little more "deep", in an emotional sense, not necessarily a photographic one. I'm hardly qualified to critique photos in this community, but I think these two look beautiful.

First one looks like a paper plate...i thought at first that it was actually paper and the second, you moved it to ceramic. I def like the second a lot more. The light coming from the back helps a lot.

Not sure if the furry kiwi compliment the shiny apple.. Although the apples do look delish :)

I like the second one as well, because the first one is how you see fruit on a plate every day..The second one is eye level so its not as generic. :)
