I broke down and took a photo class. Luckily, my county college offers a decent Studio Photography class, and with my resume and portfolio, I got them to waive the pre-requisites! (I'm not a photo major, nor have I ever taken a class outside of History of Photography). The class is especially great for me cuz I have a good understanding of studio equipment, but not well enough to really get out and work assisting jobs. Now I can fiddle with the packs and heads all I please hehe. Yet for these, I went oldschool (high grain BW) without lighting.

Here's two of my buddies I met in class.

I took my first photo class in NJ at Mercer County Commuity College.

Actually, lol, these were shot during some downtime, without any lights! But thanks. I'm starting to get a feel for what constitutes a decent portrait.
