This is the best one I got today, I wish it conveyed a bit more speed, but I wanted to nail the skier sharp. Kind of a practice day today I guess since there is no snow. Shot it with a 40d, 10mm, iso500, f/8.0, 1/800sec.
A slight crop was used to position the skier in the frame, and the only pp done beyond that was to adjust the exposure -.29. I was shooting one stop overexposed today with patchy light. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Decent shot, how come you're shooting at ISO500? You should be able to easily Shoot at ISO 200 f/11 1/500 (ish) and still be about 1 Stop overexposed on your meter (with todays lighting at snowbird) imo

I will try to shoot at a lower iso my next day up. My last ski shoot, I had nice color and exposure, but some of my better shots were just not sharp. So I was aiming at getting sharp action shots.
Thanks for the comments.

I like this one. The attitude of the skier, the snow flowing out from the skis and the rooster tail all imply speed and I like the sharper details. :D
