Well...how do you get rid of it?!?!?

I have to tend to use my flash with my new puppy because he's crazy and fast. But then this happens...

So I found this link http://www.myjanee.com/tuts/peteyes/peteyes.htm (external link) about fixing them. But I dunno, to me...it just doesn't seem real? Is there any other tricks of the trade out there? Or suggestions? I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 and 6.0 if that helps...

I mean it's better than the crazy green demon eyes...but can it be any BETTER?

Unfortunately it's easy to get red eye (green eye :) ) when using an on-board flash. If you use flash a lot the only way to minimize it is by ensuring you have red eye reduction turned on.

I think you did a decent job with the fix.

I think the edit looks great. After all, thats what your dogs eyes usually look like right?

on camera flash sucks...simple solution is a diffuser...15-30 bucks and it makes all the difference.

Yeah, I mean I guess that's as good as it can get? I just though the white part you add looks a little fake? Didn't know what else to do about that.

What is a diffuser? And yes, I did have the red-eye reduction thing ON. It usually works pretty good for him...NOT for the cat though haha. But I was really close to him, so I'm sure that didnt help.

But other than that link I posted on how to fix it, is there any other techniques that might be better?
