Got some plexiglass surfaces to work with today so I gave them a quick workout. :)

It's a little dark.. Are you able to lighten it up a little?

Plexiglass is just a plastic sheet.. can get it in various colours. The Black colour is a nice reflector :)

Heckler & Koch Axis, nice knife. Image doesn't do it justice though.

I do like the dark lighting, but it could be bigger.

It's better, but in my experience knives cry out for light. The drawback is that a coated blade doesn't look like it should when you blast it with a flash.

As an example, here's a knife I shot...

The light doesn't make it look as black as it actually is, and that takes a little bit away from the shot. While you get the detail of the knife you lose a little bit of artistic appeal. Knife fans will like the detailed shot, but artists and photographers who like knives will appreciate the shots as you have done them. You're knife is a better design, and the material of the handle and the coating on the blade may work better under brighter light. I've always meant to pick up a few of the H&K Benchmade designs and never have. They are nice knives.

Tough work, shooting dark metal against a black background... unless you just want edge detail.

Hope I don't get attacked for speaking my mind!

I didn't know how big of a photo I could post so I made it small.

I took this one yesterday as well, but I liked the "artistic" shot if you can call the dark one that. :) Here's another in a bigger size.

Yup, like that one too. :)

I have always thought of knives as weapons of the night. The black on black has an appeal to me. :)
