One of my favorite blog posts in the past couple years was Vincent Laforet's detailing what he was packing for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Seeing that much expensive glass in the wild blows me away. Unfortunately Vincent has gone all video/hollywood since. For those travelling to Vancouver on assignment, what are you taking?

I was shooting some local ski jumping and grumbling on just how hard it was (the cold, the crowd, trying to stand on the side of that stupid hill). I can only imagine how hard it is to shoot the Big O. Gotta be a rush too though! :D

Was at the Ski jump in Whistler today for the first event. Seeing as how I live here I am just a spectator and was shooting with my 7D, 400 f/5.6 with 1.4TC and 70-200 f/4. Saw a lot of big glass out there. Will be at the mens downhill tomorrow and the bobsled and biathalon on Sunday.

Will post some of my photos to the sports category shortly.

Here is a shot of what someone left lying around. Sorry shot is not very sharp as I still had my 400 with 1.4tc on and was a little too close.
