I amtill working on getting used to my 450D and am experimenting a little but most of it is indooors as the weather is crappy.

I was messing around with some playing cards and got this shot for my 365 project, I am fairly pleased with it (composition wise) but for me there is something not quite right but I cannot put my finger on it... I would be grateful if anyone could give me some hints and tips, basic exif info below shot...

I like the concept but the overall effect leaves me wanting more. Nice try though!

Great idea! I like it but I agree with you that something is not right.
I think the main subject of the picture are the two cards that are frozen by the flash, but what you relly want to capture is the motion of the other cards. Maybe you can try with longer exposures and multiple flashes?

Thanks for the comments, did try longer exposures but did not really get anything I liked at all - multiple flash may give an advantage will give it a try over the weekend and see what happens :)
