Thank you, both!! Much appreciated.
The scene was lit by my car's headlights, the foreground was a lot brighter and I tried the selective editing of Faststone viewer. It doesn't always give good results but worked here.

It's not an uncommon launch method Sogs. They do the same in Ilfracombe.

This is 4 photos of a holiday there and an open day demo launch. Excuse my daughter munching an apple. Her and family are on holiday in Costa Rica at the mo!
