The Peninsula Hotel in Bangkok operates a free ferry to their hotel from the Saphan Taksin BTS Skytrain Station pier on the Chao Phraya River.

A coworker who served in Vietnam was being attacked by mortars from a hilltop near Danang. They called in for fire support from the New Jersey. After their first volley they asked if they hit the hill and the response was that the hill was no longer there!

I find it eye opening even now to consider that launcching single round from the battleship is the equivalent in weight to launching a Volkswagen Beetle nine miles
