BALMORAL (IMO: 5034927) River Thames. Gravesend. UK.
Passing the now demolished Tilbury Power Station which was on the north bank of the River Thames.
Passenger Ship that was built in 1949 (74 years ago). Sailing under the flag of United Kingdom.
Carrying capacity 735 Gross Ton. Draught 2.1 meters. Length overall (LOA) 73 meters. Width 9 meters.

PROVIDANA (IMO: 9380788) Passing Gravesend. UK.
The barges - just visible - moored on the right of the picture are taking part in the annual regatta.
The structure on the left of the picture is part of the ferry crossing terminal.

Containership built in 2007 (16 years ago). Sailing under the flag of Norway.
Carrying capacity is 54810 t DWT. Draught is 8.6 meters. Length overall (LOA) 212.5 meters. Width 32.29 meters.

S.S. Kewatin. one of the largest of the remaining Edwardian era passenger steamers left in the world

built in 1907 in Scotland for the Canadian Pacific Railroad.

4 scotch boilers feeding a quadruple expansion engine for 3,000 Shaft HP.

sailed between what is now Thunder Bay on Lake Superior to Port McNicholl on Lake Huron

102.6m x 13.3m (336' 7" x 43' 8")

108 staterooms with berths for 288 passengers. manned by 86 officers and crew.

a museum ship since 1968 in Kalamazoo Lake Michigan until 2012 when relocated to Port McNicholl. here, under tow to Kingston Ontario for continuation as a museum ship. having a wooden super structure, it doesnt conform to modern ship building codes so wont be used as a passenger ship any more.
