We do see fairly heavy snow here at times, but thankfully not a great deal. I am a bit reluctant to use my car in it though, mainly because of all the clowns running around in old uninsured bangers.
Most of my snow scenes are when it has settled.

 :p No, Morgenster is a snow.

She differs from a brig in that she has a trysail "mast", that jackstay which holds the gaff sail. That allows her to fly a course on the aft mast.

Well, you're never too old to learn.
Thanks for extras.
I wondered what the snow reference was.
Interesting ships.

I don't claim to be "master", good or otherwise. I manage to remember a few odds and ends.

From a few years ago in the Port of Richmond, I was struck by the irony of a Honda car carrier ship bracketed by two WWII ships. The Red Oak Victory on the left and BB-61 the Iowa in the background right.

Taken from the fantail of the Jeremiah O'Brien, a WWII Liberty ship.

Red Oak Victory. is that new to the area? i sailed on the Jeremiah O'Brien several times when i was in the Air Force. my base's museum had a living history group that used to go on the cruises in WWII military uniforms with gear, as if on a tranport...

It's been around for years. It's now part of the Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park. There's a museum on site about the WWII war effort and tours of the Red Oak Victory. A few years back I visited there when Betty Soskin was making an oral history presentation about women working to build the ships there.

It's an excellent museum and worth your time to visit if you have the opportunity.

Morgenster. River Thames, Tilbury Essex. UK.
Just to give an idea of scale against car carrier Grande Abidjan.
