I'm stuck, when I open any photo I cant do anything, all I have is a little hand icon, it doesn't matter what I click on, nothing works, it's just the little hand icon moving where ever I have the mouse. :(

Moron simple terms please, I dont understand computer talk.

Go to adobe.com, then the support section, then the video tutorials... or just learn to use something other than pan tool... like by pressing 'b'

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

yeah, actually, I'm a photoshop expert, and I can't even understand what a pan tool is supposed to be... (the scroll bars?) technically the hand tool is for panning.. annnnnnnyways.

if it happens again (which happens to me about once a month for no explanation) either reset photoshop's warning dialogues (edit - preferences - general) or hit the space bar. Either way you'll be good to go.

What basroil is saying is RTFM and in this case there are literally thousands of FMs on the web. Adobe support would be a good place to start, because, as you can see from a couple of the answers you got, asking questions like that on a forum isn't always going to get you good answers.

what does rtfm and fm stand for. I just sift through the unhelpful snarky answers.
I should add that the first part of basroils answer was useful.

Slightly different. Online video tutorials are made for people like OP and for more experienced users alike. But they say stuff not found in the manual.

I was using the term manual in a wider meaning, referring to all instructional literature.

I haven't F*in got one.

I haven't used Photoshop in ten years, but before that I used it daily for five years. If I remember correctly, it had a Help button.
