Hello everyone.

I'm really trying to land more wedding gigs, and other than craigslist and word of mouth, are there places that you've found are good for marketing and displaying your work and HOPEFULLY getting jobs from?

Thanks!

You might want to talk to bridal shops and see if you can leave a business card or something there.

Success is normally defined by as much energy that you put into it. One cannot simply work the internet and hope that you are going to have droves of potential brides knocking down your digital door.

There is plenty of things that one can do if your target audience is weddings. Bridal fairs, every community has them. Bridal stores, some have bulletin boards that you can post ads on. Stores that specialize in the rental of wedding items, chairs, table center pieces etc. Work with other service providers such as those listed above along with ones such as music services to put your website on their other links area while you do the same for them.

You have to get out and let people see you, press the flesh so to speak. You stand a much better chance of succeeding of getting recommended by a bridal shop if you actually go and talk to them as opposed to simply sending them an email. I am spending most of tomorrow at a bridal shop doing some complimentary shots of brides at their dress fittings. Brides at this point seldom have much else in their wedding planned so this gives me an opportunity to meet the bride and usually the mother of the bride, the two most influential people in the planning of a wedding. The store has told me that I will have access to 9 wedding parties over the day.

You are only limited by your imagination and how much work you are prepared to put into it. Once you get a good reputation in your local area alot of those places that I mentioned above will start to mention you without having to put alot of work into it. There is no shortage of photographers advertising on the internet with some very great websites. You can be guaranteed that the brides are sending information requests to many of them. What will set you apart from the rest is how much personal contact you are prepared to do.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Start with optimizing your website, you have nothing on there that will help you capture a % of all the web searches in your area for a wedding photographer.

Whats your target market and location? know them both and customize your website/blog to capture visits from as many people doing searches for these as possible.

Try google adwords until your website has climbed up the organic listings.

I just started an ad as well. Can I ask how long you had the ads running and what your CPC limit was?
