Cropped and a couple clicks of lightening and sharpness. I think I may need to adjust micro adjust. Oh I got rid of the ear tags on the big guy.

I like the picture and was going to suggest a try at a bit of saturation, however, everything looks a bit dusty. 'course that because it was.....

I tried a little saturation ( a lot and a little). A little makes it look like an old western photograph. It came out of the camera pretty saturated, landscape style. I guess it is all a matter of taste, I appreciate your view, THANKS!

Jack, I like it enough that I am trying to figure out how to get to wherever you took the picture so I can take one like it.

and just where are you?

Tacoma, go east young man, east young man, go east. If I told you I'd have to hire someone to kill you. Not really. This was in Montana. I live in Idaho. You would be driving right through the town where I live ( during the winter) . The area where I took this is one of my all time favorite places. Simple raw beauty. easily over looked. It ain't Yosemite, Sam. It is better. These cows were on private land and I have shoot them twice purely by coincidece that they were visable from the highway. Last time I took a chance and tresspassed so that I could use my 15-85mm. I normally would not tresspass but I got the shutter bug fevor. Just a few feet.

Jack, I am waaay to much of a city boy to even think of shooting these guys with a UWA. I'd think my 400 5.6 would just about be the perfect distance. But only if I left the X 1.4 at home.
You used a 15-85?? Which end of the zoom did you use? You might be my hero.
HA, I look and there is no exit on the picture, are you pulling a city boys leg?

That photograph was taken at 38mm. I have photos take minutes before with my 100-400mm but I couldn't get all of the horns in the frame. While I was changing lens to my 15-85mm a herd of horses came running down the hill ( I missed that) ,so I had to crawl under the fence and follow them up to the area where I shot them. The big guy was continually inching toward me. I wondered if he was going to protect his smaller buddies.
