I'm considering purchasing this Toshiba laptop for photo editing (hobby) and general use. I intend to also buy the Dell 2209WA. My software is LR, PSE, and prabably CS4 soon. Also, I print with a Canon PRO9000. I'd appreciate any feedback on this particular system's capability. Total price for the laptop and monitor would be around $1150. Thanks.

It'll work just fine, but you should consider an eSATA external drive, it'll be faster than your internal drive. Unless you need a laptop, going with a desktop will get you twice of everything for the same price.

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.
