That is funny.. the defender is looking right at the camera. Pathetic crowd for a high school game in Kansas isn't it... are the two teams not that good?

Shots look great, what is your lighting setup for these shots?

If I had to guess, it's a couple Alien Bees bounced off the ceiling.

Yep. Four Alien Bee B800s fired by Pocket Wizard Plus IIs. The following image was the set up I used for a previous game. In this game, the two center strobes were moved to be adjacent to the two strobes in the corners (ie, two strobes in each corner). This kept any visible flash from being seen behind the hoop. All four were bounced off the ceiling and that gave me four stops over ambient.

Yes, it was a small crowd. The white team was 3-12 and the team in red is one of the state's top rated squads.

Four AB 800's...now that's the way to go...and with a white ceiling. Nice.

Good job, Phil. I noticed the strobe on the right is in the corner and the one on the left is mounted on a hand rail and doesn't get any bounce off the wall. Does that throw your light off making it uneven? I have had a few struggles with that exact set up.

Thanks for sharing your photos and set up.
