Got home from work one day last week and as usual this time of day/year equals no sunlight in the yard... I let out the dogs (Ritual, even though wife is home) and this Nuthatch was feeding on the suet cake... It was startled by the dogs and crept up the tree a bit and just stood there for at least a minute or more watching the dogs.... I was ready....

C&C always welcome..

This one taken last weekend with a bit of sunlight on the same tree earlier in the day...

Two great images Norman. I like the catchlight in the eye of the second one but the more "natural" perch of the first one. Exposures and sharpness look great.

Nice shots Norman. My yard nuthatches don't seem to care for the suet. The woodies work on it all the time though. :)

One of your best, Norman. I really like the classic pose in the first shot and you captured great detail as well.

Shooting with more great Canon gear than I deserve.
I don't need a second childhood. I'm not finished yet with the first one.
