i know the picture isn't the best but the little birds are like jet fighters .. how can i get better pictures of them...

from what i can tell from the pictures when the sun hits them i see an emerald green with a white under side...

They're Swallows and since you caught them over water they are probably Cliff Swallows. Bank Swallows are almost all brown. Barn Swallows can give that iridescent look as well.

William, could be Violet green swallows. We have those here at the canyon most of the summer and fall. They fly over water when thirsty or pick bugs up above the water. I can't see the green in this shot so not sure of my I.D. Get some more closer!

Your birds are Tree Swallows.
Barn Swallows have a long forked tail and a dark face; Cliff Wallows also have a dark face and a pale "necklace". Bank Swallows have the dark breast band that can be seen on the front bird, but they are pale brown, with no iridescence. Likewise, all those species shouldn't be in North America right now.
The Tree Swallow winters along our Gulf Coast, has the characteristic square tail that can be seen on these birds, and is a shiny blueish green above.
