Being in SoCal I haven't any dedicated rain gear. So I was under an umbrella tucked into my jacket to keep my hands free. The 1Ds was unprotected and the 5D was in a plastic shopping bag. The refs called the game shortly after half. It was hard to shoot the games because the ball wasn't rolling ... after a kick the ball would hit the water and just sit there ... so my positioning and anticipation of play was way off ... most of the action was midfield where I moved to at half time ... then the game was called. Great shots, I used to play on pitches far worse then that when I was a kid, on one pitch there was a manhole cover
