Zazoh, you're taking a big chance. You know what will happen to you if Canon craps out again?

Finally, Canon have apparently listened to their public. My next question: when can I get my hands on it, and say "ta-ta" to wonky horizons?

So, is it a simple box where you enter a value? Or a draggable line? Or both? Time will tell...

Personally, I've found Photoshop's measure tool very handy for fixing horizons. I usually start by zooming in to the 'wonky' line (fitting it to the whole screen, to increase accuracy), and then drag the measuring tool along it. The tool will tell you the angle, which you can then enter in the "arbitrary rotation"-box.

I think the measure tool angle is automatically entered for you - it is not necessary to enter it yourself, just accept the change

Typically you would go to the Canon page for the most recent camera, one that has the new release, then go to the Software/Downloads tab and run the update link for the software you need.

At this point, the only camera that will ship with this is the T2i, and the software is not yet available for it.

Canon is usually in no hurry to post up the new software. In the past it has appeared only about a month after the new model is in the stores. However, it has happened that people who purchased the new camera and have web sites that will support downloading post the file. Then you have the dilemma of whether to trust them or to wait for the official release.

I just hope they fix the stupid green screen I get sometimes while editing. And the annoying not enough memory to use stamp. Seems weird to have that come up on a macI7 with 8 gig ram

I can't wait to try this new version !
I have posted a message here to ask someone who bought or have the rebel T2i to upload this new version somewhere, so we can download it and try it.

If anyone has a new 550/t2i and feels the need to share 3.8, please don't fight it.
It's good to share.
