Great exposure/sharpness/tim​ing, especially with those whites. Step it up a bit and get some more variety.

The single most rewarding element to a surf photograph is an interesting and complimentary non-distracting background/foreground. I know this is easier said than done at seaside. Cliffs from a side angle/ sand from a low angle will give the photos some more identity.

Love surfing images! You guys put me in the mood to get out to the beach more often. Lucky to be in So California but spend most my days doing wedding or in the studio.

OK. Ya talked me into it. I'm out tomorrow!

Sorry I just saw this. Not sure if your referring to me or the post above... but:

I used the 1dMkIIn and the 300 f2.8 with the 1.4x. The tide was high and out here the breaks are so far away. most of these were shot at 1/2500th-1/4000th f6.3 and ISO of 500. prob could have dropped both the ISO and SS.
