Alaska Swans

Here are a few photos of a group of five swans near Sitka, Alaska.

Uh-oh, showing you the bottom of their foot. You know what that means in Swan language.

Sheesh....not sure I want to know what the bottom of the foot means. Is there a swan gesture or swan body language bible that I should invest in? hehe. They seemed very disinterested in me. I do like to watch them though.

I saw my old buddy the trumpeter this am...he has relocated to a pond about 3 miles away. I miss him being down at the lake. You got some good shots. He pretty much ignored me too, unless I had bread, which he would eat out of my hand.

Thanks for kind words hTr. I was excited seeing them out of the camera. I have always struggled keeping detail on swans and ravens. This is the best luck I have had with the swans. Now I hope to capture some detailed raven shots. They seem tougher than swans to maintain detail on. Any ideas would be appreciated.
