I’ve been trying to find and photograph this Snowy owl for over a month but without success. On my 5th trip to an area about an hour outside of Ottawa I finally spotted him and spent about 5 hours following him around an area covering about 3 square miles. Standing in the middle of an open field with the wind howling in your face and temperatures hovering around -10 with windchill of -20 was well worth it. Taken in Ste-Rose, Ontario....hope you all like
Jim

Great set Jim, #1 is really nice, the snow adds to it. looks like it was really coming down. I have to take my hat off to you for standing outside in that cold for 5 hours, but it sure was worth it. #3 is very surreal looking as Chris said, another great shot, hard to get in such a heavy snow, congrats

Way to go, Jim. As Ted said, your perseverance paid off. I would have given up a lot sooner than that.

Great shots!

I love the negative space and how it immediately draws your eye to the owl.

Very jealous! I have yet to see one, never mind try and photograph on.They are not too common in my neck of the woods, and I am always a day late when they are here.

These are beautiful images Jim, you really hung in there on a cold day to get these. I love that 3rd image. Just wonderful.
