I used to have a box on my desk with a big red button that said "Do Not Press."

Trust me. You didn't want to press it! But people did! All the time!

I'm sure there is a rule about that - the more you tell someone they dont want to do something, the greater the chance they will do it.

... Can you think of any other of photo specific laws like this?

Photo Specific:

  • ".. but, I don't understand how this is effected by the crop factor?"

  • "If your shooting jpeg, you might as well get a P&S"
"If your shooting RAW it means you can't get it right in camera"
    etc.. infinity.

  • "Well it's not as good as the new Noink, why won't Canon make a body exactly cloning the Noink D2000SUX? If isn't exactly the same as the D2000SUX, it's just not good enough and Canon is robbing us by not including all of those features" followed by "Then just get the Noink!"

Non Photo Specific:

  • "Macs are better for anything creative."
"Macs are for crunchy granola VW Bug driving seltzer spitting biodegradeable toilet paper users."

How many times has this happened?! D300 and D700 are classic examples.
