We stopped for picnic in the bush while game viewing in Tanzania East of Ndutu (I think) under a lone shade tree with water nearby and an obvious nest of the barn owl. Shot a bunch of pics trying to capture and this was best in flight. Welcome any tips on capturing birds in flight so that I may improve my percentages. I was using T1i with 100-400mm. Really wrestled with the AI focus, seemed very slow. Welcome c&c. I've seen some snowy owl shots in this forum that rocked my socks. Have a great appreciation for the fast pans!
