Valentines Roses - Light/Dark Box

So, I got my girlfriend some roses for Valentines day.. This is what she decided to do with them :)

C&C is more than welcome (I will pass it on to her :) )

Awesome! Is that just a mirror for the reflection? Did you use a flash at all when lighting with the dark background? Excellent idea on the mist spray.

yeah, she just used her makeup mirror for reflection.. She used a off camera flash for the white shots and just a torch for the dark shots. The dark background is actually just a black top.. She did it all while I was sitting behind her studying for my MCP!

I'm proud!! :D

Ah, I've just been notified that with all of the above shots the off camera flash was used.. There are a few we have (but not posted) that were taken with a torch.

Those are really great. I really like the black background ones a bit better (personal preferance I'm sure lol). I think #4 could've used just a hair more DoF so the whole rose would've been in focus. The mist was a great idea though and ads a lot to the image. excellent job!
