Hi all,

I'm currently running a 3+ year old Presario tower (Win7 64bit,) that I just put 4GB of ram in. The computer works absolutely fine and I've had no issues at all, but does not have a DVI out on the internal video card.

But I want to upgrade my so-so Dell 20" lcd to at least a 24" lcd running 1920x1200 rez. What PCI card would everyone recommend for image editing? I'm not a gamer, so I don't need a super-fancy one! :)

Thanks.

But in all honesty the ATI 4850 is a very nice card for the price.

Pretty much any modern graphics card is as good as any other for image editing, so just find something cheap :)

If you're goal is to free up some system resources, that Gigabyte card at Newegg is pretty good for $20. I think they had an ASUS card for $15 recently that would work as well.

The 2408WFP and u2410 don't need DVI. They run fine with VGA. They also run off of s-video, but don't recommend that ;)

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.
