Good light in those.

Woodward was fairly busy tonight, though not like it typically is. The Dreamcruise is Saturday, but you'd think it goes on for an entire week.

Actually, it's been going on for weeks. If you wait until Saturday, Woodward will be packed & traffic will move about 2mph, & they'll shut Woodward down between 8:30 & 9PM.
Note that this thread I started was in June. Michigan guys - It's time to shoot the "Pre Cruise"!

Oh I've been many, many times. It just doesn't seem nearly as busy as previous years. Maybe I'm just not staying out as late as I used to…ha. I used to go out there 7 days a week when I was younger.
If I do go on Saturday (generally I'm parked by 8am and walking) I'm going to focus on shooting people. My usual is to park on the east side as near to 15 mile as I can, then walk against traffic down to 11 mile, cross and walk back to 15.

Thanks!

Dane, nice shots. I look forward to more.
I was just wondering. Does that Canon 35mm ever come off that 5D? ;-)a
Keep up the shots from Detroit, I love seeing them. Been there many times in the past, born and raised a little south of you in Toledo. Now living in sunny Florida.

Ha, thanks! I have the 35 and a crappy 50 1.8…..but that's it! I gave everything else to my little brother. (The AF on my 50 is so bad I rarely use it)

I lived in a Toledo suburb briefly this year as a matter of fact (Waterville), I just couldn't get myself to stay, haha. It was kind of cool living right next to the Maumee river though - I just think I need a bit more stimulation. I actually had my first go at shooting on the street in downtown Toledo, but the streets were mostly empty the few times I went out.

I used to terrorize Woodward in a '97, 240sx.

Monkey Wrench tuned it on their Dynapack where it made 453hp @ 15psi. Factory injectors were preventing more power, but it was more than enough for me.

The RB series from Nissan makes some of the best noise I've ever heard - mine was a S1 RB25det.

The white seats make it look as if there are 2 crash test dummies in the car.

Nice timing. I just saw one of these drive by while I was walking the dog this morning. Sweet ride.
