The slight negative camber in the rear might be giving the illusion.

That looks pretty good. Now go do it with a black car, & then a white car. ; )

Thanks! Here are my best attempts with both. Black is HARD, but I think the white is ok.

The white one is a PITA to light with the graphics on the side, but the black one fails in a big way except for the highlights starting in the hood. See the highlights on the silver one? IMO you need to find a way to put those in the black one. Have you looked at the links in my Sig?

I haven't looked at your links in a long time, but I'm sure it's worth a refresher. The black is the hardest for me, because to make it look black and not, get a TON of reflections, I lose the highlights. I almost need to learn to add them in post...

that is pretty harsh...considering the quality of work the guy puts out...it may not be perfect, but fail is pretty harsh IMO...

Sorry that you feel that way, but it's only the truth. Considering what can be done using those white walls that he has there, I couldn't just let it go.

Thanks, I appreciate it. While I agree, it's not a fail, it could be much better. The number one thing is, the customer loved it and wants to do another session. In the end, that's what matters to me. Black and red cars are my hardest subjects and I need to work to make them better.

I agree. I always found that some people in this thread are being pretty harsh with some guys, where on the other hand there were a lot of other pics here that deserved the critics more.

I think he did a good job on the black car, I just guess it would have looked better without the open hood. Just my 2 cents.
