Most people probably wouldn't notice. Have you thought of two/three images PSed together?

I think that you're trying to get too much from the overhead source. That will limit the things that you can do with it.
Better & more useful would be to build a moveable vertical flat as I showed you here in the Basic 3/4 car lighting setup.

This gives you two sources of light & allows much more flexibility in what you are able to do.
