From this past weekend. Got it all clean and wanted to shoot it in the Courtyard area of some buildings ...to get a little architecture in there int he background with some nice landscaping and maybe a little fall color...

Constant dilema I have when editing. Do you like more or less contrast? Keep in mind the loss of details in the wheels due to overwhelming shadows...

I'm more of a high contrast person most of the time, but with this image, given the subject, the foreground and the background colors, I'd go for less contrast. I might even go one step beyond and desaturate the image another 50%, for an old-time faded photo effect.

They look amazing examples of the Chev.
A local milkbar owner here had one in the 1950's and he biffed me around the ears when I was stroking the wings along its rear.
Didn't turn me off admiration for them.

I think its really a matter of opinion and what your end goal is? Are you looking for a more creative effect or a clear sharp pic, i like the top, it looks crisp.

Contrast seems OK in both cases, so it's down to what YOU saw and/or prefer. The WB however, on my monitor at least, is way too yellow. That might just be me, because I have noticed through my own processing that I tend to prefer cooler WB.
