wow, been a long time! So i sold my bagged, boosted and wide body Z and bought a dream car of mine. I just finished my winter work with it! Had it totally repainted, new wheels, coils, tires, etc. So stoked!

That shot does your Maverick proud! Clean location & you held detail in the blacks, too. When you're ready to go for more drama, try only ambient light like in Post #127: "The Beast"

I used to be a bigger fan of ambient light only...but the lighting on the Maverick is spot on and well done...making the car much more the subject. There is more depth to the image...I think going back to ambient only would be a step backwards and less dramatic actually...

Have you noticed that toolboxes have room for more than one tool? ; )

Care to expand on that?

yeah, I have...but a tool box full of the wrong tools is no good when you are looking for something...I promise I am not trying to be an arse...but that photo of the Beast gets used a lot to get people to go check it out, and you have referred a lot of people to it as if it is the most epic photo of a car on the board...and to be honest, I don't know why. It shows the edges and faces of that car ok...but its rather flat, it looks underexposed, its pretty low contrast and its not very eye catching IMO...the photo of the Maverick was MUCH more eye catching...so it was kinda odd that you would give advise to someone to do something that was much more subtle...and to my eye a step backwards...shooting a car in natural light can be done, and I think it can be done much more successfully than the beast...

You are far more eloquent than myself, lol.

Hey, Frank. How many years has it been since you've picked up a camera? Less 'tips,' more photos. ;-)a

The photo of the Maverick is a great photo. It doesn't need anything done to it all. Just my .02.
