This car is one of the first Porsches actually badged as a Porsche ever produced. It's one of the earliest of the type 356's, number 40 of 52 of the so-called Gmünd coupes, built in 1949 and owned by Jerry Seinfeld.

This was at a Porsche show called Luftgekühlt 5, in Torrance, Southern Cal in 2018. It was held in a massive lumber yard, as a bit of a call-back to the history of the marque - the first Porsches (like this one) were built in a converted lumber yard, in Gmünd, Austria. BTW, Luftgekühlt means "air-cooled".

Nice! Either owned by, or sponsored by the owner of a lumber yard?
Ah, nevermind, found this on the next page.

An (at least) 30 years Cobra-replica.
The lens was awful, had to use manual focus, but still like the result.

When I was 16 & had my first car, I jacked it up & rotated all the wheels so that the logo was upright. That lasted until I got out of the driveway! ; D

Congrats, then. My Y is a little more than a year away, probably. Electric is addictive.
