Nice !

Phillipe the Original - love that place. One of the oldest dining establishments in LA, and one of two places (the other is Cole's, nearby in the downtown "Toy District" area) that claim to be the originator of the "French dip" sandwich. It is also the kind of place where the Mayor, or one of his staff, or bankers or lawyers, stands in the same line at the counter like everyone else and sits down at a communal bench next to construction workers or anyone else off the street. Sawdust on the floors, but a wide-ranging wine list including high-end Napa cab.

I personally prefer Cole's. But agreed Phillipe is an LA cultural landmark.

Nice, this image speaks days of cruising and hot rodding gone by to me. Shades of American Graffiti. 8-)

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

Thanks. It is still very much happening today. I didn't know it until I started looking for the hot rod and classic car events and cruises.

Nice shot! I like the darker background that frames the Cruiser. One very small thing... I'd prefer to have the Cruiser "looking into" the shot instead of "Looking out" of it. ; )

I agree, on the right side lining up with that line of the foreground grass that moves right to left. Either way, a very nice image.
