So as I seem to be learning, you can very quickly out-grow a camera bag.

Right now I'm currently dragging to bags to a shoot when I would rather be carrying (or rolling) one.

Currently I have and carry regularly ;

Canon 40D w/grip
17-40mm f/4
70-200mm f/2.8 IS
50mm f/1.8
100mm f/2.8 Macro
45mm Antani f/3.5 with tilt adapter (about the same size as the 100mm)
580 EX II
430 EX II x 2
L-508 Lightmeter
Cyber Sync Transmitter and 2 Receivers
Lots of extra batteries, cords, chargers, and other goodies.

On the horizon (though far away at times), I WILL be getting;
5D MkII w/ grip
and possibly an 85mm f/1.8, 135mm f/2 and 28mm or 35mm.

I currently have a Kata 3-in-1 30, which fits all but 1 lens. And a LeMans SE, that carries the lighting. Both are on the verge of exploding with gear.

I would like to fit everything I have, with extra room to possibly fit the future gear. Or at least the 5D and 135mm, thus giving me enough room to leave the 40D home and take the extra lenses. I will also be getting more flashes as time goes on, so room for those would be great.

I might be out of luck on this, as it is a ton of gear. (for one bag at least)
Price = ?. I would like to keep it as low as possible, but I'm not going to go buy something cheap that I'll have to replace later.

I've been eyeing the 1600 series from Pelican. Will this fit my gear?

Should I be thinking two bags? One for camera, one for lighting?

I'm pretty much looking for ideas from people with similar amounts of gear.

Thanks in advance, for any help.

5D MKII w/Grip, 40D w/ Grip, 400D w/ Grip, EFs 18-55mm, 17-40 F4L, 70-200 2.8 ISL, EF 75-300 III USM, EF 50mm 1.8, EF 100mm 2.8 Macro, Pentacon Six 45mm Tilt, Composer Lens Baby, 430EX, 580EXII,....and big dreams.

Lowepro Pro Roller x300 should fit it all. Also converts to a backpack. Will fit everything you have.

I'd go with the Thinktank Airpot Takeoff. I own one and it will fit all the stuff you mentioned and more. And it can be converted to a backpack for those moments where a roller just won't do (eg. dirt roads, steps, grass etc). The quality and reliability of TT products are one of the best, if not the best. Go for it!
