I have posted in other places about getting a camera ETC, so as per one of the suggestions I have taken my nikon in for repair, not as bad as I thought (damage or price-wise)!
My *ONLY* equipment is a nikon d50 w/ kit 18-55mm lens (flash is *still* broken as of today, but this may change), my question is, what can I do with this small kit while taking portraits, I will more than likely be outside, in a well lit place, or inside (lighting I will figure out once I get there!). My friend has wanted me to take her picture for a very long time, and so now, I am happy I can do it, I just hope that there are good results (I would hate to have bad results, due to gear OR my "first time jitters", and devastate her as well as myself!) Is there any ideas for lighting indoors (does it help to take a lamp shade off?! and other such simple little things like that) A lot of the questions I have I will keep to myself and just try out, trial and error, and hopefully will get good results! (it's worked in the past!) Thanks for any help in advanced! I have till a week from sat to read material, so if there are any websites or books, let me know!
