This is a photo chosen by the Senior but the school needs to have a vertical crop with a 5x7 aspect ratio...I don't really want to cut off one of her feet...is this OK to do, or how would everyone else do it?

fit the 5 x 7 so that is has her whole body in with extra space at top. because the top area is bokeh...you can easily make a selection up top to cover the new image area then use the clone tool set at approx 40% opacity with a big brush to make it seamless and natural. hope that makes sense.

^^ Agreed, I really wouldn't crop the foot. Great shot, by the way!

Yeah, I didn't like the missing foot at all!...I'm not sure I like all the headroom above the last image posted...only other thing to do would be to add more foreground in front of her hands.

If you think you like the second shot in your first post, and can handle a little Photoshop, you could clone out the leg and foot, that way you'd have the show you want.
Start cloning right above her buttocks, delete the legs and foot, and you have your shot.
Her photo will be large enough to see then.

I thought about that option too...that way it'd appear her legs were straight. Thanks.

It looks good that way actually.
The cloning needs more work, but the idea of it looks good.
(I'm assuming that you were doing a 'quickie' on it) :)

Yeah, a lot better, but when you do the real one, (if this isn't it) I'd have a leaf or two there just like the other side, not overpowering it, but just enough to make it balanced.
Also, the hair seems to have been gosted sort of.

I am pretty sure that you are doing a quickie just to show us, so I'm saying it 'just in case'. :)

Gotcha!...but actually I never touched the hair. But understood nonetheless. Thanks.
