I posted this flower in the thread called "BOKEH BOKEH BOKEH", and since no one denied it being that so that is what I am calling it (not the actual name, but the style). I am just curious as to what other people would say about it, I will post more of my "work" if it is wanted :-)

My amateur eye sees the "focus point" 2/3 the way up the flower, but that may be me just trying to defend my photo! LOL I think part of it has to do with the way the sun hits it, the "pedals" turned out bright in places

It seems to lack a point, its busy and the composition really isnt there. Not trying to be rude but it seems more like a snap shot than a well thought out photo. Nothing leads me into the frame and nothing holds my eye once I am in.

Rab3rd,
As this is an old photo (3yrs I believe) I can look back on it and realize this, I was just wondering what others thought. I have since taken a college art appreciation course that has brought these aspects to mind, while I am shooting.
Thanks!
(no you're not being mean, just honest, and I appreciate that!)

What I would have done is try to focus on a single flower head and then make that the focal point. But hey with digital we can shoot another 50 shots and find a winner.
