Been thinking of buying the Sigma 150-500 for a while and now that the tax refund is coming I am ready, I usually buy from B&H but a place called photoforless.com has it for over a 100 bucks cheaper, after shipping I still save almost a 100 bucks so I am tempted.....tried reseller ratings and they have no listing yet...?

They aren't listed at resellerratings.com

Why don't you try Abe's of Maine, they are running a 10% off on Sigma lenses, and there are a couple coupon codes too (DNEWS15) to take some extra money off.

$999.00
- $99.90
- $15.00
_______
$ 884.10

And you can take another roughly 25 bucks off with Bing cashback to make it around $860

AND free shipping, and the are an authorized dealer, AND Sigma is running a promotion that if you purchase a non-EX lens from an authorized dealer, you can extend the warranty to 3 years.
And you even get a free lens cleaning kit :)
This is the best deal in my opinion.

I buy from B&H, Adorama, Cameta (thru eBay), and Beach Camera (thru eBay). Other than those I won't buy new gear from other dealers... these 4 always offer the best price for actual USA-region product, are all authorized dealers so I know my warranty will work. You might save a couple bucks elsewhere, but get iffy return policies and/or no warranty from the manufacturer... thats not a savings.

I can vouch for Abes of maine, I bought my 85mm from them a year ago and their customer service is excellent. And they are priced pretty competitive too.

I have gotten lenses from Abes - they are fine.
Always check to see if the vendor has U.S. lenses with a normal warranty. Photo4...may be selling imports with a 1 year warranty - meaning no warranty.

Where do you see the 10% off? I looked at their website and saw their regular prices on Sigma.

I bought my 30mm sigma from photoforless a couple years ago. No problems at all. I believe they were called "sigmaforless" at the time, but the main domain came up as photoforless. I thought the lens was going to be "gray market" because of the cheap price, but it wasn't, it had all the paperwork and the US warranty.......which came in handy since the lens was one of the many that had focusing issues.

I'd buy from them again under similar circumstances, but if the price is equal I'll usually go with B+H first.
