Hi Team,

I try to search for backlight on the forum , i can't find any much detail on that.

So i post this picture up to get advices. Actually we intent to snap a sunset picture behind us but as you know the sunlight is at our back<br><br>I'm using  350D + kit lense+tripod , what kind of tweak i need to do so that i can cover more detail on my picture and background also ?<br>

Anyone can guide me how to include EXIF for easi reference on the forum ?

Take your meter reading off of the sunset sky (not directly on the sun though), then use Flash to light up the foreground.

In fact, what I did recently was take several shots of the sunset first, using different settings, trying the shot over and under exposed by varying amounts, and viewed the results (and histogram) on the camera to find the best exposure of the sunset (the color in the picture was much more dramatic than the actual sunset). Then, I lined up my subjects and turned on my flash and shot the picture with the same setting as the best sunset.

i haven't start survey on flash yet , any recommend for me at least ?
i own an 350D , but i still consider maybe to upgrade the body hence the flash shall able to keep out with latest body if possible:)
