I was out snowshoeing today with my family and I was able to take a couple of pictures of this fox before he went into his den.

He was shot with my 600mm with 1.4 teleconverter on my 5D Mark II. He wasn't going down into a ravine, there was some downed timber behind him creating dark shadows.

Well my wife was ahead of me and she must have scared out the fox and I had to do a double take on the fox before a realized it was a fox. I had time to take about 5 pictures of him before he was gone.
