Not too much of a serious shoot so I didn't really care about the lights showing. He just wanted some good quality photos to promote his work a little more. So I went to his house and we took some photos while he practiced doing some DJ'ing, haha. I probably should have concentrated more on taking photos of him while scratching. Anyway, here is a few...

Good shots, you captured some nice DJing =P First one can also work as a portrait crop, great light and pose.

Agreed with korrektor last shot = WIN!!

First and last are pretty cool I agree the first could use a little more blacking out in the background the middle two just have too much clutter visible to ge great shots.

i think if you want to take pictures of him to show off him djing seriously..you should re-shoot this out side of the garage..

the garage background with the car in it just screams un professional..
get him to bring his gear in a regular room and re-shoot it..

and we all know that everyone is using serato/tracktor scratch ect..but for giving this picture dj credit, i would focus more on him
working the decks and mixer and less on the laptop being part of the picture.

I agree that the garage kinda ruins the pics. Not something I would suggest using for promotion because is looks so un-professional. I do like the last pic and I also could like the first if the BG was darkened up enough so that the fact he's in a garage didn't show. :)
