Cover: Not really feeling the net. Nor the fact that it is just warmups and nothing is happening. I also would have positioned myself to not get that railing(?) in the picture. Wide pictures can work but you really need to either have some kind of pattern going on or something genuinely unique. This just seems like a snapshot from the stands.

#1 Its a good shot of the pitcher. I like his position, your angle to his position, and the lighting. However, the background is horrible. You really need to be aware of your backgrounds when youre taking pictures. Its probably the MOST overlooked (but one of the most impactful) aspects of photography.

#2 Any way you can get lower? The capture isnt too bad by itself but to me it looks like he just hit a foul ball or something. The picture just doesnt have anything that draws you into it. It also has a horrible background but it doesnt look like there is much you can do about that.

#3 Much better than your other pitcher picture overall. Id dodge the face some to lighten it up a little.

#4 EXACTLY what I was looking for in #2. Youre lower, youve got a much more interesting subject, and since the background is full of more people, its actually less distracting than half-empty seats.

#5 Yep...Thats a picture of a catcher...Are we supposed to be interested in it for some reason? What story is that supposed you tell? If youre taking pictures to sell to people that play, this very well may sell but I CC from a photojournalistic point of view.

#6 A lot like #2 really. Just not much there. A blank expression just makes it seem like he struck out (despite whether he actually did)

#7 Yep...Thats a first baseman...See #5

#8 Just not much going on here...

Adam,

Thank you so much for your insight. I truly appreciate it!!

I agree with Adam. From a technical standpoint your images look great. The last 4 especially are fairly un-interesting.
