Different lighting

I was playing around with different lighting placement with one off camera flash AND i wanted to test out my new 85mm 1.8 :). Now I know that this prob isnt the best lens for the shot but i just wanted to use the lens lol. Tell me what you like/dont like in these.

First one looks the best of the three. Color is off on the others.

yeah I de satuarated those to give it a darker feel...guess it didnt work? lol

are you using two different values of light in the first one? It looks like natural light for the front light and incedescent (sp?) for the back light. If thats the case, it makes it very hard to get the white balance correct.

yeah on camera left there is a 580 flash and the right side is incedescent over head lamp. for the first shot I was going for lighting that you might get if you were out side under a light post

I thought that might be the case. You really should avoid different light color values in the same shot. If you try to make color corrections you are going to run into trouble. When you get the color right in one light, it will be wrong in the other light.

noted, i do see now that the left side seems really cool and the right side is very warm
