Oh my gosh..... I absolutely love these! :) I have zero birth pictures of my girls... and that second shot is just priceless to me.

Love the detail in the skin on the second two also... very, very nice... :) Congratulations!

Nice job with the birthing room shots. Which lens did you use? I decided to use the 50 1.8 that I had at the time for my last one, and just could not auto focus in that limitted light.

I was hesitant to get it at first, as I wanted to stick with just canon L lens. But I love this lens. It stays on my camera. Now I just need to upgrade my body.

Congrats! Great shots. Did you use a flash or is the lighting that good?

I could have gotten away with no flash for a lot of pics but I don't like how the XTI handles higher ISO's. I've gotten good pics at 800 and 1600 ISO's but I find there is less room for error. and if you don't get it just right there is a lot of noise. #2 I had to use a flash because of the obvious extreme back light behind the baby, but #4 was no flash. I had the camera on manual and when I did use the flash I used a 430ex with a stofen FEC+1.

That's the one I was looking at. Thought maybe you used spot meter. Great shot.

Congrats again. I have my first due in a few months and would be really happy with a shot like that!
